AbbyCare: New Model for Paying Caregivers of Children with Chronic Diseases

AbbyCare is now providing services in MA. If you have a child between the ages of 6 and 18 who needs assistance with more than three activities of daily living, you may be eligible. AbbyCare operates by employing parents or legal guardians as Home Health Aides (HHAs) after they have completed a certified 75 hour training. AbbyCare is reimbursed by MassHealth for providing HHAs. Disability Law Center Training on Understanding SSI, SSDI, Work Incentives and Employment Rights

The Disability Law Center (DLC) will be hosting a hybrid training on understanding the basics of social security disability benefits and the employment rights of recipients on Thursday, September 10, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm ET on zoom and in person at the Stavros Center for Independent Living in Springfield, MA.
