Community Conversation

Managing Your Energy Envelope

Sunday, June 28, 2026

4:00 pm ET on Zoom

Join us in June for a community conversation, where we invite you to share your lived experience and learn from others. Our topic this month will be energy management, also known as pacing.

Avoiding crashes and post-exertional malaise (PEM) is an essential skill for those living with ME or Long COVID. Let’s learn from each other in moderated small group conversations. Bring the tips and tricks you have found helpful, or just come with questions. We hope everyone will leave with some new techniques to make life a little more manageable.

Sunday Conversations is a free program and all are welcome!

Community Conversation meetings are not recorded. Useful links and resources will be shared on the event page after the meeting.

We are excited to announce that our Millenial/Gen Z Meet Up Group is growing!

We welcome young adults from the entire Northeast region.
MA, ME, NH, VT, RI, CT, NY, NJ, and PA!

Coming Up: Team MassME 5K

Team MassME in the Boston Waterfront 5K Walk / Run / Roll

MassME will participate again this year as a partner organization in the McCourt Foundation's Boston Waterfront 5K, which will take place on Saturday, September 12th. Once again, our team members will walk, run, or roll the beautiful waterfront course, to raise funds and to raise awareness of ME and Long COVID.

Look for an email soon with information on how you can participate ― by donating, by being part of our team on race day, or by having someone run on your behalf and help tell your story.

Defend US Science: Please Comment on Proposed OMB Regulations

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has issued proposed new regulations about how scientific research proposals to all US funding agencies will be handled. Among the more alarming proposals are 1) requiring proposals to pass a review by political appointees before they will be considered for peer review, 2) requiring proposals to align with the current administration's political priorities, 3) being able to cancel contracts at any time for no reason, 4) not allowing funding for conference attendance or paper publication.

Elizabeth Ginexi has a summary of these and other changes here. These regulations will destroy US scientific research. We need everyone who cares about the integrity of science to voice their opposition during the public comment period (until July 13th). Please enter your comment by clicking on the blue Comment button on this page.

The goal is to improve how MCS is measured on surveys. The study consists of participating in a 45 to 60 minute interview by phone or video call. To be eligible, you must have (or think you have ) MCS, be over 18 years of age, live in the United States and speak English.
